(rerun)   (ABC series, this is part two, as part one ran on the preceeding night.  Part one ended with a promo for the next nights show..."same Bat time, same Bat channel..."  This ran on ABC from 1966-1968 and was probably one of the major novelty shows of the 60's)

(60 min)   (syndicated, off network NBC series which ran from 1959 through 1963.  "Well it seemed like a good idea at the time" would probably be said by the manger of WICS/WICD as the NBC network fare was replaced by a locally originated syndicated show in which more local commericals could run for a prime time rate.  "Who would want to watch a lousy sci-fi show in the midwest??"  Obviously, he didn't make the right call, as StarTrek became one of the major TV icons of the 20th century and inspired a long running movie series from the 70's through the early 00's, and several TV series)

NBC

(rerun)   (ABC series, which ran from 1966 to 1971.  A preposterious series in which a single girl lived quite well in New York with hardly any income, bouncing from one disasterous job after another.  Even more unbelievable was the fact that Donald(Ted Bessell) didn't make a single move on the incredibly sexy Marlo Thomas!)
8:30pm
15-20
Dragnet-COLOR-Drama  A Crime lab report forces Friday and Gannon to reopen an apparently open and shut case of suicide.  Friday: Jack Webb, Gannon: Harry Morgan.  Murray: Olan Soule.  (rerun)   (NBC series, originally ran as a series from 1952-1959, then returned with new episodes in 1967 through 1970 in color)

9:00pm
15-20
VicDamone-COLOR-Variety   Guests: singer Don Cherry and comedienne Donna Jean Young.  Sketch: A movie starlet (Donna Jean) is interviewed by Vic, Don, Carol Lawrence and Gail Martin.  Les Brown conducts the orchestra. 12:00am
17
Joey Bishop-COLOR-Time Approximate  (taped delay of the ABC late night talk show.  Many stations delayed the show to air local movies and such, where they could run more local commercials.  This was a situation which helped sink the former "rat pack" member's attempt at late night talk show host)

In TV History, this was an interesting week.  It wasn't all reruns, as this week featured part one of the final episodes of The Fugitive as Richard Kimball finally found the murderer of his wife, the one armed man.  This was one of the most watched shows in TV history.  That was on Tuesday, August 22nd, 1967.  It as also notable that the episode aired in late August at the end of rerun season!  Now, it would be a May showing during "sweeps."

Note that local news was still in black in white at most stations.  The only color local news was at WCIA and it's Peoria sister station WMBD.

Note above the pre-emption of "Star Trek" by WICS/WICD with the syndicated off network run of "Laramie", probably to be able to air more local commericals.  That episode was the rerun of the episode which inspired one of the Star Trek movies "The Wrath of Kahn."
